Internet issues??

    Anyone experience slowness on their internet today on 2/28/2017?? . I can't seem to log into IB account management.

    I noticed TWS disconnected several times this morning and tried to connect again.

    TWS disconnected for me too. I just closed it since I wasn't trading anyway.

    I am not sure why a lot of the companies are touting this cloud business
    It doesn't seem any more reliable than your own network You have just shifted the problem to someone else and out of your own control
    This kind of waters down the claims that IB is the fastest most reliable brokerage, When it's working sure
    They are now only as good as the cloud One little glitch and everyone goes down

    Someone famously said "there is not cloud, it's just someone else's server"

    I seriously doubt that IB uses AWS in any way and the problems with TWS were just coincidental since I've noticed the same issue on other occasions

    Looks like this is getting worse
    Now my company's network is down and they told everyone to stay home
    It's one thing to be slow or have some glitches it's another to miss a whole day because of it
    at this rate pretty soon we may start going back to pen and paper
