Anoying Windows Explorer issue resolved

    When Windows introduced "Vista", and those of us unfortunate enough to "try it", we encountered an annoying feature of unresponsive "windows explorer" operation.
    Try to sort files by date or just view in Windows explorer, then have a multi-minute wait while it "paused" while failing to show any files in the folder!
    I have noticed that issue now on Windows 7 and Windows 10.
    I found the following that resolves this "feature":

    Apparently the setting "General items" is option closest resembling an engineer's choice (respond quickly please)
